Water sector leaders, together with academia, expertise providers, trade associations and NGOs, are partnering within the new consortium to accelerate solutions to the world’s crucial water and sustainability challenges.
Located on the banks of the Anacostia River, the Reservoir Center for Water Solutions will serve as a world collaboration hub to advance breakthrough water options and innovations.
The Reservoir Center is designed to strengthen collaboration among the diverse set of stakeholders, from DC and beyond, who work together in course of solving international water challenges. The Center’s 33 companions – including Reservoir sponsor Xylem – will deliver together their assets, knowledge and partnerships to drive progress.
Through innovation packages, training and mentoring, and neighborhood outreach, the Reservoir Center aims to create a vibrant hub for ideas and motion on challenges like water scarcity, resilience and water affordability.
“Establishing the Reservoir Center is a dedication to strengthening collaboration inside the water sector, and to strengthening water’s voice past it,” mentioned Patrick Decker, president and CEO of Xylem. “The Center shall be a hub for these interested in serving to clear up the world’s water challenges to come collectively, deepen relationships, break down obstacles and fast-track solutions. It’s a spot where, together, we can write the next chapter for water and continue our work in the path of a more sustainable world.”
Xylem announced earlier this year that its new headquarters will be co-located with the Reservoir Center for Water Solutions.
