The 30 deepwell gasoline pumps will be delivered between August 2022 and January 2024.
This is one of Svanehøj’s largest LNG fuel-related orders to date. It can be the second LNG fuel pump techniques order that Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding has placed with Svanehøj in the final year. In July 2021, Svanehøj signed a contract to provide deepwell pumps for 10 dual-fuel LNG container vessels (15 000 TEU).
Svanehøj quadrupled sales of its patented deepwell fuel pumps in 2021, and says there are many indications that gross sales might improve even further in 2022.
“Until a couple of years ago, the use of LNG as a marine fuel was limited to LNG carriers and smaller ships. But we at the second are seeing a sharp enhance in gasoline pump orders for deep sea vessels such as container ships and car carriers,” mentioned Johnny Houmann, chief sales officer at Svanehøj. “We had been chosen as the provider of gasoline pump techniques for over 50% of the dual-fuel LNG container vessels ordered globally in 2020–21. And we purpose to extend our market share further in the coming years.”
