Two of the six API 610 VS4 pumps are pour level depressant pumps which may be 18m in length and the other four are methanol carry pumps which are 10m lengthy.
All of the pumps have PT100 temperature sensors which have been designed and constructed alongside the length of the pumps to watch the temperature of every bearing individually.
The 18m long pumps incorporate a supporting system of brackets that Amarinth has designed which attaches every pump to its tank during installation ensuring that as the pump is lowered into the tank it stays perfectly aligned, lowering vibration and wear throughout operation.
Once assembled, the pumps have been independently witness tested and authorized by DNV at Amarinth’s facility in Rendlesham, UK. digital pressure gauge had been then disassembled into 3m segments and shipped to Singapore where the FPSO (floating manufacturing storage and offloading unit) is being constructed.
The pump delivery and set up had to align with the FPSO build schedule. Because of the length of the pumps, they had to be installed into the vessel’s tanks via the deck before one other deck above the pumps could probably be built. The first part was completed efficiently over the Christmas interval with Amarinth’s Engineering Commissioning staff supporting the shopper with the installation and commissioning.
The FPSO will be positioned within the KG-DWN 98/2 subject, roughly 22 km off the east coast of Kakinada, India. The vessel is designed to produce up to ninety 000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and have a 1.3-million-barrel storage facility. It might be geared up to handle the monsoon conditions prevalent at the field.
